The Stable Museum is located right in the heart of the town of Winsen (Luhe)…
… Fronting onto Schloßplatz itself, in the vicinity of the Town Hall and Moated Castle, are the historic stables, which date from 1599. A modern glockenspiel is mounted on its gable end. The accessible museum is spread across four floors: the museum shop, the old workshop, the Johann Peter Eckermann Exhibition and a timeline walk showing the history of the region. Special exhibitions on a range of themes are held regularly in the museum.
